Ingrid Mayes

"My name is Ingrid Mayes and I live in Dalgety Bay.  I am originally from Kent and moved up to Scotland in 2007 with my partner and my son.

I am a full time mum but also have my own business working from home 'I.M Art'.  Mainly concentrating on commissioned pet portraits in acrylics, pastels & pencil, I also paint watercolours of my fantasy village 'Bickinghall' which I was inspired to invent after travelling around England researching my family tree.  I came across some beautiful villages and couldn't wait to get home and paint my own versions in a 'naive' style.  Bickinghall pictures always feature 'Hepworth', the village cat and sometimes some of his friends in the village.  I mostly sell these pictures on Ebay but always try to have some ready for the DBAC exhibitions too.
